Is your device entering the EU market, but you’re not sure about CE certification?

We work with companies that need to obtain CE certification but lack the in-house facilities to perform EMC testing — or have them, but face long waiting times at external laboratories that can delay their schedule by weeks. Clients typically come to us just before submitting their product to a notified body, when a design issue could mean costly PCB redesign, or earlier — at the prototype stage — to eliminate emissions and immunity risks before investing in production tooling. The decision is usually made by the CEO or CTO of a technology company, a quality manager, or the person responsible for ensuring product compliance with EU market standards.

EMC Testing Stages

Documentation Analysis

We review schematics, the BOM, and previous design documentation to identify potential sources of interference — connectors, trace lengths, and power supply filtering. At this stage, we define the scope of testing and select test configurations that reflect the device’s real operating conditions.

Emissions Testing

We measure radiated and conducted emissions in an anechoic chamber and using a LISN setup, comparing the results against the limits of the harmonized standard applicable to the device category. If a limit is exceeded, we identify the specific source of interference, not just the non-compliance itself.

Immunity Testing

We test the device’s immunity to electrostatic discharges, conducted RF disturbances, and power supply voltage dips — conditions it may actually encounter in the field. Each test has a clear pass criterion: operates without disruption, operates with degraded functionality, or loses functionality.

Documentation and Certification

We prepare test reports in a format accepted by notified bodies, along with the technical documentation required for the CE Declaration of Conformity. We also support communication with the certification body if questions arise regarding the test results.

We work in short iterations with regular checkpoints — you see progress in real time instead of waiting weeks for the first result. Every checkpoint is an opportunity to adjust course before an error turns into cost.

Delivery

We finish with a formal sign-off and full technical documentation — schematics, source code, production specifications. Everything is handed over to you, regardless of whether we deploy the product ourselves or hand it over to your team.
